Packed Lunches

Our children are encouraged to live active and healthy lifestyles through our curriculum. Having a healthy lunch provides children with the energy to continue their school day and also helps to promote the habit of healthy eating for life. As part of this we prepare all of our school meals on site daily and offer a wide choice. We work with our children to promote new foods and give them the opportunity and encouragement to try new things.

Some of our children prefer to bring their own lunches from home but we ask that you help support our promotion of healthy lunches. Please remember that no nuts or nut products are permitted in school due to allergies. Should your child bring any small fruits such as grapes or cherry tomatoes etc., they should be cut into halves to prevent choking.

We have included a handy guide to give you ideas about what should and should not be included in your child’s packed lunch.

If you have any questions regarding your child’s lunch, please speak to your child’s class teacher or a member of our Pastoral team.
